Many of you know the story of Philadelphia Police Department Officer Jesse Hartnett, who was ambushed in his police cruiser while on duty by an armed assailant, whose intention was to assassinate a police officer. Fortunately, Officer Harnett survived!

Officer Jesse Hartnett has since formed the Hartnett Hero Fund, a federally recognized 501(c)3, whose mission is to help augment the cost of outfitting Police Vehicles with ballistic panels & vehicle armor - the "B" Kit, which provides NIJ Level 3A+ protection.
